What is an object? What does it mean to be an artist making objects? What might it mean to be an object? There are things, experiences and emotions that humans don’t have words for and cannot articulate or explain fully – what is the plausibility and indeed the possibility of a speculative realm of objects beyond human cognition?Â

My research is based around an exploration of ‘objects’, object understood here as a material thing that can be seen and touched. In my work, I use object-based speculation in an attempt to understand how a contemporary subject (myself) may exist and interact with objects in a series of virtual/digital, physical and emotional spaces.
