MA work

MA work

The starting points of my work are certain feelings, memories and obsessions, but in translating them into a visual medium I tend to make them cryptic. My goal is neither to be literal nor to confuse; instead I'd like the viewer to be somehow touched by the work, drawing from their own interpretations, and it doesn't matter to me how different they are from my own. In terms of style and technique, collage interests me for the subversive nature of taking elements out of their original context and giving them another meaning and purpose.
