MA work

MA work

Platform 8

My work questions our assumptions about industry, in order to propose alternatives. Project after project, I began to redefine the notion of industry, raising questions about what defines a worker, a tool, the location for production, or a material.

During my two years at the RCA, I have extensively explored the realm of materials. Challenging what they are and asking what they could be. For instance, creating new materials from fish scales and human hair. The methods of production are also a relevant consideration; imagining the revival of casein plastic as a regional product produced by dairy farms.
