Growth
A dynamic, transforming and evolving plant pot.
The life cycle of a plant is a transformation, from an early seed to its full grown size. The blooming of a flower, the unfolding of a leaf, the branching of the roots, they all allow the beauty of the plant to unfold over time. This process is what Growth aims to capture within a plant pot. With its origami-based geometry, it grows with its inhabitant as it unfolds over time, responding to the plant’s, changing requirements.Ripples of Time
A two piece instillation emphasising the presence of time.
Within a space–time continuum, time is perceived as the fourth dimension. The past, present and future are a whole. Ripples of Time allow natural materials to be shaped by time, reminding us of its presence. The installation consists of two complimentary clocks: Sand and Water. Sand, inspired by Zen Gardens, is the gradual formation and flattening of a ripple pattern over a period of 12-hour cycles. Water, on the other hand, tells the ephemeral time through concentric circles in the form of endless waves that ripple by the second. It is the landscapes and the cycles found in nature, that both the projects represents.
