Dreaming in CMYK
Once upon a time blue dye was so rare that it was traded with gold. Today, simply typing a hash-tag-hex-code can produce the entire colour spectrum. The same technology that put the rainbow at our fingertips has made us careless with our relationship with colour; abundance has given way to over-stimulation.
I use my work to question our CMYK environment, and look at how we can use technology to re engage with colour as a medium. Through comparing different cultural approaches, I want to mix and match influences to develop new systems of applying and consuming colour, in an effort to reinstate its value in our modern world.
