Textiles students at the RCA employ traditional and innovative skills while exploring constantly-evolving materials and technology. They create diverse solutions that span many disciplines and design applications, including automotive design fashion, interiors, and gallery installation
As a mature student, I had lots of industry experience before I came to the Royal College of Art. I worked for years in a leather manufacturing company I had set up in Ireland before moving into consultancy work.
I did both my foundation course and my undergraduate degree at University College Falmouth in Cornwall. My degree was in Textile Design and it was at Falmouth that I started to specialise in Mixed Media, which is what I study at the RCA.
