All aspects of College Research are supported by the Research Office, who manage, coordinate and monitor all aspects of RCA staff and student research, and provide a development programme for staff, including research supervisor training and support for external funding applications.
The first point of contact for research students is the Research Administrator who assists with applications and funding enquiries, as well as reports on student progression and examination.
The Senior Research Tutor convenes the Research Methods Course attended by all first-year research students and contributes to the development programme for early-career researchers and academic staff.
The Director of Research and Senior Research Manager, together with School Research Leaders and other senior academic staff, are members of the Research Committee. This Committee develops excellence in research, managing research grant bids in a timely fashion and monitoring the College’s Research Ethics Code of Practice.
The Research Office led the College’s submission to the UK Higher Education Funding Council Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014 in November 2013.
