Entrance Gallery

The Entrance Gallery is a hugely popular space situated on the ground floor of the Royal College of Art next to the Albert Hall. Its outstanding modernist design features include the domed skylight, which fills the gallery with natural daylight.

The gallery is ideally suited to reception style events, such as product launches, private views, and pre- and post-Albert Hall concert receptions. The Entrance Gallery can be hired in conjunction with the other galleries,presenting the possibility of a pre-event reception and welcome area.

Gulbenkian Galleries

Upper Gulbenkian Gallery

The Upper Gulbenkian Gallery is a classic white space, situated on the ground floor of the Royal College of Art next to the Albert Hall. The modernist design incorporates a void between the Upper and Lower Gulbenkian Galleries, creating a balcony effect that can be used for projections and large-scale branding.

The gallery has the advantage of a floor-to-ceiling height of four metres. The Upper Gulbenkian Gallery can be hired in conjunction with the Lower Gulbenkian, allowing for separate areas within a function while keeping a feeling of overall unity.

Lower Gulbenkian Gallery

The Lower Gulbenkian Gallery is a clean white space, situated on the lower ground floor of the Royal College of Art next to the Albert Hall. The modernist design incorporates supporting columns and a raised platform that takes advantage of the additional ceiling height provided by the void between the Upper and Lower Gulbenkian Galleries.

The Lower Gulbenkian Gallery can be hired in conjunction with the Upper Gulbenkian, allowing for separate areas within a function while keeping a feeling of overall unity.

Henry Moore Gallery

The Henry Moore Gallery is the flagship of the Royal College of Art, boasting an extensive 709 square metres of versatile events space and catering for up to 320 seated or 500 guests for cocktail reception style events. The gallery is situated on the ground floor, overlooking Kensington Gardens and the Albert Memorial, and benefits from excellent natural light.

The gallery has an impressive screening system, which allows interior walls to be fitted as required, to create intimate areas within a large event. This system is ideal for exhibitions, as it increases display space and can create enclosed projection areas.

This versatile gallery is very popular for exhibitions, award ceremonies, product launches and première parties. The white space acts as a ‘blank canvas’; and is an ideal platform to support themed events, branding and installations.

Red wine is strictly prohibited from the Henry Moore Gallery due to the beautiful Terrazzo floor.

Hockney Gallery

The Hockney Gallery is a small gallery on the ground floor of the Stevens Building. It is available for hire for staff and students only and is ideal for small exhibitions and private views.

Lecture Theatre One

Lecture Theatre One is accessed from the ground level and has recently been refurbished including the instalment of air-conditioning and the latest technical audio and visual equipment.

Available for use for public and College lectures, presentations and film/video screenings

Senior Common Room

The Senior Common Room is an exclusive members’ club and provides a venue for private dinners of up to 76 seated, or receptions for 200 guests, in an environment of art and design excellence.

Overlooking the Royal Albert Hall, the Senior Common Room comprises a reception area, dining room, lounge and bar area. Its most outstanding feature is the selection of works from the Royal College of Art Collection, which includes museum-standard pieces by Peter Blake, Tracey Emin, Lucian Freud, Barbara Hepworth, David Hockney and Henry Moore, among others.

Described by its patrons as ‘one of the best kept secrets in London’, the Senior Common Room’s unique style provides an ideal venue for canapé and drinks receptions, silver service dinners, product launches, press launches, business meetings and other special events.
