Dr Dave Webster is an academic leader in Higher Education.

Dave has a PhD in Educational Research from Lancaster University that focuses on the art and design curriculum and the ways in which students can have greater agency. He is passionate about art and design pedagogy and its development and has led and worked on many curriculum innovations within post-graduate, undergraduate and further education. Many of these have focused on equity, diversity and inclusion and has led to work in widening participation, addressing attainment differentials, and developing an inter-cultural international education.

As Assistant Dean (Education), he leads the provision of educational opportunities for students across the School of Design and working closely with other Assistant Deans (Education) across the RCA. Most recently he led the validation and delivery of the new MDes Design Futures programme and he is the theme lead for ‘The Caring Society’ which is part of the AcrossRCA unit.
