Claudia Carr is a painter. She is currently a visiting tutor in the Drawing Studio.

Biography
-
Claudia Carr studied at the Slade School of Fine Art (BA and MA in Painting) and at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy. She won the Winsor & Newton Young Artist of the Year Award (1994), and has been short-listed for NatWest 90s Prize (1993) and twice for John Moores Painting Prize. She was awarded the Italian Government Scholarship and Boise Travel Scholarship. She has had solo shows at Browse and Darby, as well as Whitfield Fine Art. She is also a visiting lecturer at The Prince’s Drawing School and Heatherley’s School of Fine Art, and previously at the Slade School of Fine Art, London.
