Annual Events Programme

The annual events programme offers alumni the opportunity to attend exclusive social, academic and professional networking events, both in the UK and overseas. All event details including invitations are sent by email.

If you haven't received an event invite from us in the past six months, it may be because we have out-of-date contact information for you. Please update your details here to ensure you're included in future mailings.

'A' Magazine

'A' is the new, annual magazine for alumni of the Royal College of Art. All content is created by and about current RCA students, alumni or staff members, and produced exclusively for graduates as part of the alumni relations programme. 'A' is available in electronic and hard copy formats. Update your postal address or communication preferences to ensure you receive your free copy.

Special Rates and College Access

RCA Library Access

Alumni are welcome to use the Library for reference-use of print resources. Access is by appointment only and needs to be prearranged by emailing or telephoning +44 (0)20 7590 4224.  A visitor card will also be issued for you on the day of your arrival at the Jay Mews reception.

Please note that as of 1 November 2015 RCA Alumni Cards can no longer be used to gain access to the Library facilities.

Senior Common Room Membership

As of September 2015, Senior Common Room membership is free of a charge for all RCA graduates. For more information please email or telephone 020 7590 4106. 

Gallery & Venue Hire

As an alumni you are entitled to a special discount on all RCA gallery spaces. Private hire of the Senior Common Room is also available at a discounted rate. For more information please contact our Exhibitions & Events Manager by email: or call: +44 (0)20 7590 4203/4109.

Drawing Classes

The RCA Drawing Studio hosts three week-long drawing courses during the summer vacation. Classes take place during the first two weeks of July and one week in September. Alumni receive a substantial discount on the fees. 

Alumni are also welcome to attend the termly Extramural Drawing classes, which take place every Friday during term from 10am – 5pm. Please contact the Drawing Studio if you would like to attend or request more information (E:, T: +44 (0)20 7590 4562), or visit Short Courses.

Evening Classes at Imperial College

Language evening classes (May & June) at Imperial College

Enrolments are invited for language evening classes run by the Centre for Co-Curricular Studies at Imperial College. There is also a Creative Writing course on offer. All courses comprise two two-hour evening classes per week over 8 weeks from early May until late June/early July, giving 32 hours of tuition. Courses run 6-8pm on two weekday evenings (please see programme timetable for details) and are available to RCA/RCM staff and students at the internal Imperial College rate of £180 per course. For full programme details please see here

RapidFormRCA has an exceptionally wide range of high-end additive layer technology used by RCA students for rapid prototyping, 3D scanning and software processes. 

Alumni are eligible to receive a discounted rate on the RapidFormRCA services (subject to availability). Email RapidForm stating your request and graduation details for a quote and availability.

Professional Development


FuelRCA is the Royal College of Art's professional development service, offering support to RCA alumni as they set up their own practices or businesses and gain employment in the creative industries. Services include the Fuel Helpline, for confidential business and career advice, as well as Royal Designer and PWC Mentoring programmes.

Degree Letters & Graduation Hoods

If you need to request an official letter confirming your degree, or source a graduation hood, please contact Admissions who will be able to assist you. Please note that the College does not offer copies of certificates or transcripts.

Learning & IT

Free Online Services

The College offers alumni access to a variety of free online services, all are available for life:

File Transfer Service – FTS is a self-service, web-based tool, which can be used on any system and from any browser to transfer files of up to 500MB to anyone.
 Any number of files can be collected any number of times from any location. Files are uploaded to a secure storage area and can be held for up to two weeks.

Space – College Intranet and portal to other intranet sites.

Folio – Personal e-Learning web platform.

Alumni who have RCA accounts can automatically access any of the online services listed above, by using their existing user login details. If you do not have an account, then please register here.
