Jane Alexander is one of two deputies to the Rector of the Royal College of Art, Paul Thompson. Her responsibilities are for all nonacademic aspects of the College and include Personnel, Finance, Buildings & Estates, Governance, Academic Registry, Facilities and Health & Safety. She is a member of the Senior Management Team and chairs the College’s Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety Committees and the Joint Consultative Meeting.
Jane read law at Brasenose College, University of Oxford, and then qualified as a solicitor. She worked as a corporate lawyer with Norton Rose before taking up a position in-house for 3i where she led the European legal team.
After completing a Master’s degree at City University in Culture, Policy and Management Jane joined the College in 2011. Jane is a Trustee of the National Association of Youth Theatres.
