  • Specialism: Knitted Textiles

This collection is based around a trip to the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, where I was hugely inspired by the combination of bold coloured frescos, and ornate architecture within the gallery.

My work explores the concepts of both digital and handcraft techniques by combining the traditional method of knitting and Shima Seiki industrial knitting machines to produce a more contemporary feel to the fabrics. The combination of knit, devoré and discharge processes mimic the decoration, bold colours and surface pattern found within the Uffizi Gallery. The collections of fabrics and garments have been designed for the womenswear market.
