This collection explores anatomical structures in an emotional context. Using drawing and the inherent qualities of molten glass to express vitality, these bodies of glass refer to the effects of deterioration, wear and repair.
The work is a series of intimate portraits using sensuous curves to convey the emotional impact of external forces. As pressure is exerted, the glass distorts and softly collapses, altering the internal space and drawing attention to the surface tension and the forms to which this resilient material can be pushed. Bodies can bear inconceivable pressure but skin is thin, and the indelicate touch can bruise.
