Fast Food Farm


When did you last sit down for a home-cooked meal?


One in six meals in the UK are convenience food, and this is set to rise to one in four by 2020.


This project appraises the urban farm through the lens of convenience, speculating on the consequences of the application of industrial and digital processes to a fully integrated productive infrastructure.


The ‘Fast Food Farm’ responds to a culture of instant gratification, providing urban-grown takeaways through a network of towers linked by the subterranean Mail Rail line. 


In tune with urban metabolism, the ‘Fast Food Farm’ provides instantaneous solutions for feeding an interconnected city.
