Christopher Procter and Fernando Rihl collaborated with Ryl Nowell to design a show garden for the Chelsea Flower Show in 2000. The square plan was a forced one-point perspective grid. The terraces sloped up from the front, creating a stage set for the viewer, and were divided by a watercourse with a series of shifting waterfalls. Two distorted glass pavilions, one on either side, were linked by a steel mesh walkway with a glass bridge across the water. The planting was mixed ornamental cabbages with flowers growing through which was themed from the two sponsor gardens, an English walled garden and a French ornamental cabbage potager. It was funded by a European grant.

The constraints of budget (one-quarter of most show gardens) and time (short build at show venue) necessitated careful planning and a long lead up to the event. Procter-Rihl designed the structures and geometry and Ryl Nowell designed the planting and technical details of the watercourse and retaining walls. Christopher Procter coordinated the steel and glass installation subcontractors during the build-up on site each day.

The project was awarded a Royal Horticultural Society Gold Medal in 2000.
