An example of Rut Blees Luxemburg’s external collaborations is her work with Hotshoe Gallery (directed by Dan Campbell Blight, RCA alumnus), London. She contributes to their talks and exhibition programme for events such as On the Ephemeral in Photography: In association with Hotshoe Gallery and ORDINARY-LIGHT Photography, a panel discussion considering the etymology and characterisations of the ephemeral in photography and the wider concept of the ephemeral as it appears in culture and the arts. This session was led by Daniel Campbell Blight (director, Hotshoe Gallery) with Rut Blees Luxemburg (artist), Julian Stallabrass (reader, The Courtauld Institute of Art) and Douglas Murphy (author of The Architecture of Failure, forthcoming from Zero Books).

Another external collaboration concerns Blees Luxemburg’s work with architecture publications and magazines. Currently she is working with Régis Durand, art critic and former director of the Jeu de Paume and of the Centre National de la Photographie in Paris, on a contribution for the French review L'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui. Previously she collaborated with the British periodical The Architecture Review, where she wrote a monthly column on photography and space and focused on the work of RCA alumni Susanne Ludwig, Steffi Klenz, Eva Stenram and Ricarda Roggan.

Rut Blees Luxemburg is on the editorial board at Black Dog Publishing, advising on their contemporary art books program.
