The resulting designs, which go on display at the V&A’s Clore Study Room, have been developed into working prototypes with the help of Sir Terence Conran’s furniture manufacturing firm Benchmark. Education and research provides an important element to the project, AHEC is using its ground-breaking Life Cycle Assessment research to help the students produce detailed 'cradle-to-grave' impacts for their designs. The AHEC is well known in the international design community, having worked with the likes of David Adjaye, Matteo Thun, Arup and Amanda Levete for her Timber Wave at the V&A for the 2011 LDF.
