    Practice

  • Alex Haw's practice, atmos, is a multi-talented practice dedicated to rethinking and improving our spatial world across the scales, from furniture to urban design. The studio works across media, designing and executing buildings, installations and public projects that converge meaning with technological innovation in the pursuit of immersive, sensual, beautiful and stirring landscapes.

The studio is currently designing a new eco-city in the Middle East, a 120-unit luxury hotel, some large London houses, the fit-out for a super-yacht and public landscape installations for 2012. Rory Olcayto, deputy editor of the Architects' Journal, heralded atmos as “the coming of a new modernist expression”; Jay Merrick, the Independent’s architecture critic, described a recent project by atmos as “one of the most boldly conceived and executed small projects I've encountered in the past decade.”
