    Service Design Lectures

  •

  • Teaching will usually take place in the Dana Centre, where the Service Design studio is based, the Darwin Building, at the RCA's Kensington campus, or at Imperial College London. Occasionally we will have workshops and seminars in the RCA galleries, our design partners studios or with other departments. We will also make good use of the extensive opportunities presented by being based in London by visiting exhibitions, studios and other related sites.

    • The course will have dedicated studio space for each student complemented with group working space and meeting rooms to support project assignments.
    • Where workshop space is required this will exploit the workshops in the School of Design as well as use of the Innovation Technology Centre in the Stevens Building for digital/virtual prototyping.
    • The taught element of the programme will be delivered in Dana Centre, RCA and/or Imperial College lecture theatres in theatre style or at group worktables.
    • Students from Imperial’s MSc Computing and MBA will be invited to join selected core modules of the programme as Design London Fellows, as per the current model where RCA students attend modules of the MBA programme.
    • The taught programme and workshops will exploit online learning.
    • The use of the RCA’s Innovation Technology Centre will be part of the programme.
