The Student Support Office is located on the second floor of the Common Room Block, next door to the RCAfé. We’re here to offer information, advice and advocacy to all students and prospective students of the RCA. We can help with:
- Accommodation: assistance finding accommodation, dealing with landlords or agencies, advice on tenancy agreements and contractual problems and mediation in disputes with landlords.
- Disabilities (including dyslexia): the Student Support Officer also acts as the Disabilities Co-ordinator, dealing with Disabled Student Allowances, applications to the Disability Fund, and making sure that support is put in place for students with disabilities or learning difficulties..
- Money and Finance: advice on sources of funding, money management and debt advice, help with Career Development Loan applications, advice about welfare benefits and Council Tax as well as other finance issues.
- International Student Issues: visa and immigration advice, assistance with extending students visas, information on staying in the UK after studies as well accessing healthcare and other aspects of life in the UK as an international student.
