    Show RCA 2011 Awards

  • Awards are granted to students during the Show, as follows:

    Helen Hamlyn Design Awards 2011

Organised by the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the Royal College of Art, this award scheme aims to encourage graduating RCA design students to engage with social issues and develop their ideas through user research. Five major awards will be given to projects that can improve quality of life in relation to ageing, health and urban living, and working. The results will be announced at RCA Innovation Night on 28 June 2011. The Awards form the centrepiece of the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design’s student programme at the RCA. For more details see: www.hhc.rca.ac.uk.

    Sustain Awards 2011

The annual Sustain Awards recognise graduate work that demonstrates excellence in sustainability thinking. The shortlisted projects will form the Sustain exhibition, to be held in the RCA galleries during the London Design Festival in autumn 2011.

    The Conran Foundation Awards 2011

The Conran Foundation Awards reward design that has a positive impact on the way people feel, think and live, as well as on the national and international economic situation; the overall message being that commercial success and cultural impact are intertwined. The Awards are open to RCA Architecture & Design, Communications, Fashion & Textiles, Fine Art and Applied Art graduates, with six awards of £2,000 each.
