Research degree students are welcomed into the School of Material, which has expanded its MPhil and PhD numbers and now has a well-established history of successful graduates and leading-edge researchers in all its four disciplines. Research-specific activities form part of a wider pattern of lectures and seminars across the College, and the rich academic life is further enhanced by the extensive relationships we have with world-class academic, museum and industrial institutions. The presence of MPhil and PhD students continues to stimulate the culture of research, creativity, individualism and analysis that benefit the whole of the School of Material.
