Specialism: Printed Textiles


I believe that textiles have an inherent narrative quality — they are the atmospheric, emotional layers between a building and the people in it. Textile & Light is an installation-based project, inspired by traditional textile imagery such as the toile de jouy. Layering printed sheer fabric, I build 3D scenes by turning dark areas transparent and lighter areas more opaque when illuminated. This project explores the threshold between dream and reality, between the tangible textile and the intangible light, and between the detailed and the abstract imagery. My aim is to evoke a relational aesthetic between people and the installation.
