Attua Aparicio Torinos and Oscar Wanless have created Silo as a platform for their collaboration. Silo will continue to focus on experimentation and research with processes and materials, starting with NSEPS.


NSEPS (Not So Expanded Polystyrene) is our name for the process and material we have developed using expandable polystyrene granules. By ‘domesticating’ an existing manufacturing technique, we can extract new properties for the material’s use. We have developed proposals that sit on the boundaries of what is considered furniture, encouraging people to be an active part of the human landscape and engage with the objects in a playful way.
