Fringe Benefits is a series of scenarios showing functional relationships between fringe groups and the mainstream, to challenge the definition of normality. It includes the projects: Association of Feline Association, Wellman Waters and Heathrow Heritage.


Wellman Waters uses fluoridation in tap water as the gateway conspiracy to lure potential believers. The Wellman removes fluoride from your water for free, as an alternative to taxation. Later in the story Wellman Waters gain access to NHS patients with hypothyroidism (worsened by fluorine).


I encountered a group of conspiracy theorists called Wellman. They gather at wells to collect water, refusing to work in case their taxes fund weapons.
