  • Recognised for the outstanding quality of its graduates, the College boasts such distinguished alumni as David Adjaye, AOC, Christopher Bailey, Sir James Dyson, Tracey Emin, Thomas Heatherwick, David Hockney, Alison Jackson, Idris Khan, Julien MacDonald, Sir Ridley Scott, Henry Moore, Bridget Riley, Zandra Rhodes, Philip Treacy – the list goes on. As we progress through the twenty-first century, every new generation of graduates continues to shape and enhance our lives.

You too can influence the world around you by leaving a legacy to the RCA in your will. Legacies are a vital gift to future generations of creative practitioners, ensuring that the RCA continues to nurture new generations of talented artists and designers.

At a time of unprecedented change in the world of higher education, leaving a legacy to the RCA is one of the most enduring gifts you can make. Your help will ensure that we continue to attract a community of exceptionally talented students regardless of personal wealth or background, and the finest staff from around the globe to provide a unique educational experience in art and design. A gift in your will can be a sum of money, equities and bonds, a specific item or a share of what is left of your estate.

There has never been a better time to give back in the UK: the Budget 2011 includes a new measure to reduce inheritance tax levied on the estates of those who leave 10 per cent of the contents of their wills to charity.

The RCA is an exempt charity under the terms of the Charities Act 2006. As such the RCA has charitable status for taxation purposes and legacy gifts to the RCA are therefore exempt from inheritance tax. A legacy from you can reduce the amount of any tax payable out of your estate.
