  • As a wholly postgraduate institution, we recognise that students who are offered places at the RCA have typically already spent three years at university and are coming to us with substantial student debts. They are totally committed to furthering their education and careers – but, in many cases, have little or no source of income, including parental support.

Externally funded scholarships are, therefore, vital to the future of our students and help to preserve the diverse student body that has been a hallmark of the RCA since its founding in 1837. A scholarship can be the difference between a student being able to take up an offered place at the College and having to decline it for purely financial reasons.

If you are considering a donation towards scholarships, there are three options to choose from:

    • an endowed scholarship
    • an non-endowed scholarship
    • the AlumniRCA Scholarship Fund.

The AlumniRCA Scholarship Fund was launched in December 2010 to create, over time, an endowment to support scholarships for students across all disciplines, so that the RCA continues to attract the very best talent from home and abroad, regardless of their financial circumstances. Thanks to the generosity of our Alumni and friends, we will start awarding scholarship from this Fund in Autumn 2011.

Gifts can be made online by clicking here.

Tax incentives for scholarships: the RCA is an exempt charity under the terms of its Royal Charter. As such, companies and individuals can claim tax relief on their scholarship gifts to the RCA.
