A History of Experimental Film and Video
was published by the British Film Institute in 1999 and is in its tenth
reprinting. Widely cited and used by film courses in Europe and the
USA, the book describes the international film avant-garde from the
1920s to present-day UK film artists. A period of research leave in
early 2011 was awarded by the Research Committee to prepare a revised
edition of the book for BFI/Palgrave Macmillan, for publication later in
the year.
