    Biography

From practice to theory, my background spans several disciplines. After completing a degree in BSc Computer Aided Product Design (Nottingham Trent University, 2001–5), I worked as a playground designer (2005–6), before completing an MA in Architecture and Critical Theory (University of Nottingham, 2006–7). Following this I went on to teach Product Design and Design and Visual Culture at Nottingham Trent University to Product Design students and Fashion students respectively (2007–10). Having joined the Royal College of Art in 2010 I am now reading for a PhD in History of Design, focusing on design in the late 1980s Japanese bubble economy.
