    Sustain 2009

  • Sustain grew out of a recognition that, year-on-year, RCA students were demonstrating a greater level of environmental concern and producing work and projects that address sustainable issues.

This awareness is more evident in some disciplines than others, but it is everywhere – in Architecture and Design, in Communications, in the Applied Arts and, sometimes more subtly, in Fine Art. The challenge is to see it as a comprehensive body of work.

The online Sustain exhibition is one way that we can make this happen: a place where we can showcase College-wide environmentally aware practice. It is a beginning, and we expect to watch it grow. We hope you will watch it with us.
