    Sustain Exhibition & Award 2010

  • The Sustain exhibition featured a selection of shortlisted entries for the RCA’s new Sustain Award, which showcases sustainable objects, thinking and solutions from across the art and design disciplines.

    From nutshell jewellery to designing out packaging waste, from a livelihood-creating mobile chai trolley to re-using textile waste to reduce landfill, RCA graduates demonstrated the 'systems'-thinking creativity of cross-disciplinary practice that is unique to the world's most influential postgraduate art and design school. All the entrants' work can be seen in the Sustain online exhibition, by clicking the links on the left.

    Sustain was one of seven exhibitions on show at the Royal College of Art from 23 September – 7 October 2010, as part of this year’s London Design Festival.

    The Sustain Award 2010 was presented on 23 September at the RCA at the LDF private view. The winners were:
