Water plays a fundamental role in keeping us well. Our intention for Phase is to augment our relationship with water through showering. The shower provides cleanliness, relaxation and invigoration.

Phase is a novel development in wellness. Its design is inspired by the common practice of drawing on condensed water. In it, users are able to control water effects, lighting and temperature by drawing on the condensed surface, while navigating through the different stages specially designed for a smarter use of the amount of water.

We explored extending our connection with water by controlling the shower environment via a water-based interface, rather than faucets, creating a physical link with the qualities of water. This playful interaction also allows users to make a note on the screen and send it to their personal smart devices. Phase comprises mist, fine spray and powerful shower modes, which in combination engender a more involved and evolved experience.
