Specialism: Weave

My intention was to redraw a journey from the inner space of the human body, where fighting emotions engage themselves into expressive combat, resulting in the creation of intriguing distressed skin surfaces. With a subtle sensibility to material and colour, the work aims to capture these extremes between personal aspiration and life’s restrictions, into sculptural pieces as body adornment.

Metal interplays with natural fibres in contrasting textures, while shapes intermingle through layers. The work demonstrates an unconditional taste for experimentation with different textures and materials, in a variety of processes from painting to laser-cutting and innovative textile construction.
