Specialism: Woven Textiles

A collection of fabrics for the home, which includes drapes and upholstery, sheers and throws. Design inspiration comes from the textures and surfaces found in our surroundings, such as old buildings, brick walls and ropes. This is strongly contrasted by inspiration from more traditional patterns such as lace and mutlti-coloured stripes found in military medals. The idea of light and transparency is important, and is achieved through contrasting yarns within the collection. This idea of opposition and the use of layering is an important aspect of my work.
