Specialism: Printed Textiles

A collection of printed, embellished and woven garments inspired by Exoticism and Primitivism in the late nineteenth century. Exciting discoveries of tribal people and art in Africa and Micronesia intrigued and fascinated the population with their newness, wildness, simplicity and raw power. The collection expresses this charm of the unknown through tension between the familiar and unfamiliar, and through the element of surprise.
