I’m practising in a conceptual art context using various media, such as video installation, sound installation, photography and typography.
I am exploring the connection between Zen practice and art practice, based on my study of semiotics. I visualise the sense of absence by removing some essential thing or meaning from a scene we are very familiar with and by communicating with something that remains after the process. By this method, I express the concept of emptiness in Zen Buddhism. I’m suggesting a different point of view: to be fully aware of a situation by removing the thing that obsesses us.
