The conditions within which we position ourselves is the material that informs our practice. Challenging modes of thinking and operating is what intrigues us. Dialogical research, setting up communicative situations and sharing authorship are part of our approach.
At the RCA this inquisitiveness crystallised into an extensive multi-disciplinary collaboration, Department 21: an inclusive, radical and productive experiment in education. With a dynamic group of fellow design, art and theory students, we actively encouraged a critical engagement with educational models, institutional certainties and their relationship to wider economic systems.
