I am interested in the basic form of digits that we use and call ‘numbers’, whose shapes merely signify a set of numerical values for the purpose of displaying time. But they don’t actually embody the experience of time. To me, a clock doesn’t display time, it merely visualises a chronological point of reference. Time is not something we can pin down, since even at the very moment of marking a point in time, time has already moved on from that point. By displaying the in-between forms of preceding and succeeding digits in the form of translucent layers, the flow of time is made visible.
