North Korea is one of the most culturally isolated countries in the world. This film project aims to challenge cultural obstacles in NK.
The film is intended to be a highly stylised satire of NK, where you need to be part of the political élite to eat pizza. In order to bring artworks out of galleries, they are used as props by characters with hidden political messages. Finally, I have contacted Chinese smugglers to distribute illegal propaganda over the border to NK.
Pizzas for the People is a series of designed insertions that explore how design can contribute and impact on a social and cultural level, subtly challenging an ideological status quo.
