The Ilford Philharmonic: A Productive Amphibious Landscape
Situated in the fluvial wetlands of the river Roding, The Ilford Philharmonic is a large music house, which accommodates an exquisite public singing infrastructure within the chambers of a giant mythical pebble. Centred around a large flooded auditorium, within a grand foyer of niches, are a boat-building and instrument factory; a polyphony of rehearsal and performance vessels; a barbershop; an NHS sing centre; a commercial recording studio; and a musical instrument and manuscript library. The Ilford Philharmonic initiates a new productive amphibious infrastructure for London.
