What do we listen to and what do we hear?
As a child, I had the great fortune to sit in the twilight with my grandmother and let the day wander off into the evening. We would not talk, just sit in silence and enjoy the daylight disappear and the darkness arrive.
I have examined a large amount of sounds and described them as if they were objects with a shape, a surface, texture, direction and intensity. This made me understand that sounds are objects moving around between us.
My work is about listening.
