    Biography

    Cristina Cojanu moved from Bucharest to Vienna to study painting (1997–2002, Diplom) and philosophy (2002–2008, Diplom). In 2008, she completed an MA degree in painting at the Royal College of Art. One year later, she was accepted as a PhD candidate in Painting at the RCA with the project entitled, ‘Painting as Gaze: On the Revelatory Force of the Arabesque'.

    In 2010, Cojanu started her on-going collaboration with Una Joc, as part of her research project. She is currently working towards the completion of her doctoral thesis in 2013.

    Una Joc and Cojanu will exhibit their collaboration during the Final Show 2013 for the first time. Previously, Cristina Cojanu participated in group shows in UK and Austria, Germany and Brazil.
