    Biography

    Joséphine Michel studied philosophy at the Université Paris-Sorbonne and photography at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles.

    Her first book/DVD, Lude, was published by Filigranes Editions in 2007.

    Working as a free-lance photographer, she has recently made visual counterpoints for Ligeti’s Lontano and Schubert’s Winterreise (Concertgebouw Brugge), and made the cover photograph for Mika Vainio’s Fe 3O4 – Magnetite (Touch). She has also collaborated several times with Le Monde des Livres.

    Recent exhibitions include: Halfway to White, Rencontres d’Arles, 2012; Fieldwork II, Exhibition Road, London, 2012; Show RCA, Royal College of Art, 2012; Objectified, Charlie Smith Gallery, 2012; Fieldwork, Regency Town House, Brighton, 2011; New Knowledge, Royal College of Art, London, 2011.
