  • Biography

After graduating from Loughborough University in 2001 with a First class honours degree in Multi Media Textile Design, I was awarded the Texprint ‘Breaking New Ground Prize’, which allowed me to exhibit and sell my work in London, Paris and Hong Kong. I then continued on to the prestigious MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design where my final collection, which achieved a distinction, was selected for London Fashion Week in 2003. I then began lecturing, securing a position at the University of Portsmouth. I registered for a part time research degree at the Royal College of Art in 2005 and since then have been successful in gaining the Lord Reilly Memorial Travel Award and Capability Funding from the University of Portsmouth. I have exhibited my research work in the UK and delivered papers and presentations in the UK, Germany and the USA.
