Tthe Royal College of Art has taught me that the measures of great automobile design are not seen through the bends of the sheet metal, but from the thought and passion underneath the paint. My focus was to look beyond simple styling and focus on design from a completely different perspective: sustainable design must be designed from the ground up, and not simply insert the latest and greatest technology and materials into an existing design.

London is the only place, for me, that balances the layers of preserving historic values and accepting modern values. As we approach the transition from petrol to newer electric powered cars, London is a great place to understand that balance. Combined with my love for Lego®, it allowed me to see the vehicle in a completely different way. Instead of trying to force the use of more recycled materials in traditional car-production methods, why can’t we create a car in a different way, where different layers are combined in a Lego-like way? An interior layer can be made out of wood, an engine layer can be made out of steel…

It’s an honest approach to creating a car that's fully customisable, and – best of all – completely straightforward to dismantle at the end of its life cycle. Large auto plants become unnecessary, and vehicles can be sourced regionally.

Best of all, and unlike a traditional car, there is no paint involved; it is a very honest design that combines simplicity with social responsibility.
