The concept for my final collection was derived from the essay Ornament and Crime, written by architect Adolf Loos, who said “we have gone beyond ornament, we have achieved plain undecorated simplicity.”

However at a time when I feel that minimalism has been exhausted within fashion design, I want to emphasise over-decorative textures and elaborate colour in a tasteful way, which simultaneously utilises certain key facets of minimalist design, such as starkness and a measured linear approach to layout.
