My work explores the confusion between personal experience and collective memory, as images from the history of painting, film and literature float to the surface, attaching themselves to my subjects. These moments of association provide sustenance for my image development. It is a storytelling process that melts and appropriates visual languages, as well as different mediums to add meaning to my narratives, which I see as an attempt to understand my feelings towards ritual, faith and human encounters.
