  • Juliet Ash has been involved in a number of exhibition and publishing projects. She contributed to Paul Willis’ Gulbenkian Foundation-funded project, Moving Culture, and his resulting book, Common Culture. She was consultant to the Tate Gallery for a series of fashion and art talks involving Paul Smith and Richard Wentworth, Hussein Chalayan and Zaha Hadid. She was also consultant to Pandora Press for a Helen Storey Project: S.W.I.M. (a Technology, Fashion & Women Installation & Book). She was a referee for Textiles: The Space Between Exhibition (2004), Perth University, Australia. She was an adviser to the curator of Hussein Chalayan’s retrospective exhibition at Groninger Museum, the Netherlands (2005) and was consulted on the production of the catalogue for the exhibition, published by NAI Publishers.

    In 2010, she was a judge for the Dress and Fashion contributions of inmates in secure units, youth offender institutions and prisons around the UK for the Koestler Art by Offenders Awards. Art by Offenders is a collaboration between Southbank Centre and the Koestler Trust with Victim Support and the Ministry of Justice.

    Juliet Ash is currently collaborating with a renowned documentary film maker, Michele Ryan, on a documentary film proposal entitled Fashion Behind Bars. The proposal will be sent to Channel 4, BBC4 and BBC Wales.
