As a designer, you can design an object for a user, or you can design a way for that user to achieve a goal. These two approaches are not always intertwined, and I am more a proponent of the latter.

Through a portfolio largely focused on products and furniture, my background in architecture and photography pokes its head through. Much of my work is composed of modular elements or leaves room for customisation. Forms are no more than are needed to satisfy their function and occasionally add a bit of whimsy… If there’s no element of delight, we’ve missed the best part!
